It’s been almost two weeks since I returned hopped on a plane at Heathrow and flew back to Australia and by goodness a lot has happened.
I’ve been accepted (well, pretty much accepted…uni stuff is unnecessarily complicated) to study at the University of Edinburgh for a semester next year, which excites me to no end. I can’t wait to be back in the UK (or the UK and Scotland depending on the results of the referendum) and reunited with some of the amazing people I met in Cambridge! I also get to live in Edinburgh, which is pretty cool.
Uni is off to a fantastic start. I only have two subjects this semester, but that’s enough to keep me plenty busy.
As for writing…welll…that’s been less productive.
In light of these changes upon returning to Adelaide, I’ve decided to alter my ROW80 goals for the rest of this round to better suit what I want to achieve.
Writing: 2 hours of writing related work on both Saturdays and Sundays: writing, editing, planning, maps, world building etc. Write regular articles/reviews for uni magazine each fortnight.
University: Stick to the timetable I’ve created for uni work: 9am-5pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Avoid procrastination. Work hard to achieve the best grades possible.
Work: Attempt to work at least 10 hours a week: 5 hours Mondays and 5 hours Wednesdays to start saving money for exchange.
Blog: ROW80 updates each Sunday and Wednesday, WIPpet Wednesday, another blog post Friday each week.
Fitness/Health: Exercise between 3 and 5 days a week. Eat healthily. Drink more water.
How is your round going?
